Drupps has shipped a mobile demo of Drupps Atmo to a customer in Thailand for on-site trials in the cement industry.

The mobile demo unit (‘MDU’) is a plug-and-play 20-feet container capable of producing pure water from the atmosphere at the rate of 800 L/day. It is fully electric and can be installed simply by opening its doors and connecting its power cable.

The purpose of this project is for the customer, an international cement producer, to verify functionality and water quality on-site, but also to explore Drupps Atmo’s potential as a humidity treatment tool for improving energy efficiency in cement furnaces. The energy efficiency of a furnace is improved if inlet air has lower humidity content. The MDU will send realtime process data.

The project is expected to run for three months.
