Make your potato chips net water positive
We help you turn your potato chips production into a net water positive affair by recycling the energy you invest into those chips to make atmospheric water.
The Need
Take care of that water
Airborne water coming out of chimneys, for example from potato chips production, is a valuable asset that should be recovered. It holds both water and energy.
We help potato chips producers improve water efficiency and mitigate risk caused by global warming. We do this by generating atmospheric water from above the plant semi-powered by the energy in waste steam.
This is Water Value Management, redefining the value of that water.
-
Reduce net water use
Recycle up to 180% of your waste steam by recycling its latent heat to power atmospheric water generation
-
Improve water security
Recycling more water reduces your dependence on other water sources
-
High quality water
Water of distilled quality ready to be used immediately, saving costs on treatment and purification
-
Modular build
Atmo’s modularity means it can be adapted to each customer’s requirements, and be extended stepwise
Drupps Atmo
Generate atmospheric water to offset net water use
Recycle your airborne wastewater, and its latent energy to generate an extra 80% water from the atmosphere above the plant.
Opex is comparable with tap water, if climate conditions are beneficial. By being net water positive, you add water security for the entire plant.
A factory can lose 20% of its total water in as evaporative waste.
The Setup
A modular system
Waste steam from the production is condensed into pure water, releasing heat that is recycled by Atmo.
In a parallell process, atmospheric water from above the plant is absorbed by Absium and transfered to an evaporator which is semi-powered by the recycled heat. The absorbed water is extracted through distillation.
