Swedish government backs Drupps for developing air-water supply resiliency in case of emergencies

Drupps receives government funding to develop a business model for its air-water units that will make them deployable by the resiliency-building community

—”Water supply is a critical component of any society’s resiliency plan. This backing is confirmation of that air-water is starting to be viewed as a real and credible option for building water supply resiliency, for emergencies as well as water scarcity mitigation. It is also proof of Drupps being ahead as an air-water technology developer”, says Jonas Wamstad, Project Manager and Co-Founder of Drupps.

The Swedish Innovation Agency Vinnova awards a grant of 900,000 SEK (80,000 €) to develop and validate a successful business model for its air-to-water units to be made available for resiliency-building.

—”Drupps technology was originally developed as a backup option for water supply. So far we have been focusing on industrial water users, helping them to secure their own water supply in the face of growing water scarcity. Now the timing may be right for us to broaden this ambition, to help governments and civil society, too”, says Jonas Wamstad.

Drupps is a market-leading developer of air-water technology, enabling quick, safe, and cost-efficient production of clean drinking water from atmospheric air or industrial outlets.

The project is expected to run for 9 months.
