Technical Project Manager at Drupps

Lead Our Global Expansion in Sustainable Water Technology

Location: Uppsala, Sweden (with international travel)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Do you have experience managing complex, international industrial projects from the drawing board to successful commissioning? Do you want to play a pivotal role in a Swedish innovation company that is quite literally changing the world’s water supply? If so, you might be the Technical Project Manager we are looking for.

About Drupps

At Drupps, we have a clear mission: to unlock the atmosphere as a sustainable and scalable water source for global industries. Our unique technology for atmospheric water recovery helps companies secure their water supply while significantly reducing their environmental footprint.

We have moved past the development stage and are now scaling rapidly in the global market. Our first commercial installation is fully operational in Mexico, successfully delivering 60 tons of pure water per day to a factory since September last year with excellent results. Now, we are taking the next big step. Armed with proven technology and an expanding portfolio of products and services, we are set to establish a strong presence in Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, and India.

The Role of Technical Project Manager

As a Technical Project Manager at Drupps, you will have end-to-end responsibility for realizing our international customer projects. You will lead projects from the signing of the contract, through the engineering and manufacturing phases, all the way to final deployment and commissioning on-site at the customer’s facility.

You will operate in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where you are expected to take significant ownership to ensure the highest standards of quality and delivery precision.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • End-to-End Project Management: Plan, structure, and execute international customer projects regarding the delivery and installation of our industrial systems.

  • Commissioning: Take hands-on, operational responsibility for the commissioning, start-up, and fine-tuning of the company’s products on-site at international client locations.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate internal resources (engineering, procurement, automation) and manage external suppliers and local partners at the installation sites.

  • Timeline, Budget, and Quality: Ensure that project milestones are met on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.

  • Product Launches: Actively participate in the deployment and market roll-out of Drupps’ new complementary products and services.

  • Client Relations & Documentation: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring top-tier technical documentation and seamless handovers to the client’s operations team.

Who Are You?

To succeed in this role, you are a solution-oriented and confident leader who thrives in an international environment with many moving parts. You possess a strong technical background and the ability to make decisive calls on-site when unexpected challenges arise.

Qualifications:

  • Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Energy, or equivalent), or equivalent practical industrial experience.

  • Experience: Several years of experience in technical project management, preferably within process industries, heavy machinery, energy, or water treatment sectors.

  • International Track Record: Documented experience leading projects and managing field commissioning outside of Sweden.

  • Languages: Professional fluency in both English and Swedish (written and spoken) is a requirement. Since we are expanding in Latin America and Southern Europe, proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a highly valuable asset.

  • Travel Readiness: The role requires international travel to our client sites during the installation and commissioning phases.

What We Offer

At Drupps, you get the chance to join an accelerating growth journey where your work directly impacts the future of our planet. We offer a flexible, low-ego workplace in Uppsala with short decision-making paths, high technical expertise, and fantastic colleagues.
