MDU
The Mobile Demo Unit (MDU) was manufactured in 2020 in Uppsala, Sweden. This installation is a downscaled mobile version of the Uppsala Pilot Plant.
The MDU is a plug-and-play solution powered by electricity and can produce up to 5 m3 of atmospheric water per day, depending on climate and location.
Process description
The MDU operates in a closed-loop and contains three main components: Absorbers, Absium, and Evaporator.
Absium is our liquid desiccant that allows our system to capture moisture.
We alternate its concentration in order to test moisture capturing capabilities. This enables the System to optimize energy use and efficiency in different climates.
