Uppsala Pilot Plant
Since 2019, Drupps is up and running in Uppsala, Sweden. Our pilot plant is producing atmospheric water every day and is registered as a drinking water plant in the city.
The plant is designed to generate drinking water according to the guidelines of the Swedish Food Agency, the European Union as well as the even stricter guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The Uppsala pilot plant is used to simulate the different climates and air conditions of our customers to test how our system would perform in each location.
Process description
The Uppsala pilot plant operates in a closed-loop and contains three main components: Absorbers, Absium, and Evaporator.
Absium is our liquid desiccant that allows our system to capture moisture. We alternate its concentration in order to test moisture capturing capabilities. This enables the System to optimize energy use and efficiency in different climates.
