What you’ll be doing
As a Mechanical Engineer at Drupps you will work together with others as a part of an interdisciplinary team, but your focus will be modifying machinery, equipment, and products, design calculations, preparation of design specifications and technical documents.
Furthermore you will handle practical installations assembly in their pilot plant, develop the piping system according to industrial standards.. At Drupps, you will work with everything from concept analyses to resolve issues in their existing clients’ systems.
The role requires the occasional travel to handle client installations.
What we are looking for
To be the right talent for Drupps you have a civil engineering or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. You’ve got at least 2 years’ experience from a similar role and experience from industrial environments.
More specific:
- Mechanical design in SolidWorks
- Routing of pipes with flows and pressures in consideration
- Metal & Plastic construction
- Processes in industrial environments.
If you have prior experience from rendering images from 3D substrates for manual purposes, CFD Simulation in SolidWorks, components and connections in design libraries it’s beneficial, but not a necessity.
As a person you have a general technical interest, responsible and able to take initiative. We believe you are structured, have a good logical and analytical ability and a good perception of requirements. Furthermore, teamwork and collaboration are keys to success

Drupp's office is in Ultuna in Green Innovation Park in Uppsala. They are a small team where all disciplines work closely together, which provides a valuable exchange and an efficient development process.
Their journey started in 2017 with the idea to help solve water scarcity by facilitating production of atmospheric water. They aimed for the big-scale because they wanted to make a real difference. Their focus is on recovery of evaporative water from industries. It is 100% Swedish-owned and employes 12 people. All manufacturing is made in the EU. Drupps is considered one of Sweden’s most promising tech start-ups according to NyTeknik.

What you’ll be doing
As a Computational Engineer at Drupps you will work together with others as a part of an interdisciplinary team, but your focus will be developing algorithms for the control system to optimize operations. You will bring the knowledge and a keen interest in physics and mathematics to the development team.
You will be modelling and analyzing processes and systems using both commercial and proprietary tools. At Drupps, you will work with everything from concept analyses to resolve issues in their existing clients’ systems. You will also work with several aspects of problem solving and product development.
As clients are located in different parts of the world the service can also involve travel to meet customers and install systems.
What we are looking for
To be the right talent for Drupps you have a civil engineering or master’s degree in physics, computer science or equivalent. You’ve got at least 2 years’ experience from a similar role.
You have knowledge and experience from working with Matlab, Simulink, computational science & physics. Experience from the following is not a requirement, but meritorious: heuristic optimization methods, optimization of particle swarm, ordinary and partial differential equations, set up and solve equations for energy and mass balance in steady state and programming in general.
Most customers and suppliers are international, so fluent in English, both orally and in writing is a requirement.
As a person you have a genuine interest in physics and enjoy solving problems. You have the aptitude for being able to formalize systems.
You are intrigued by new technology, strive for continuous improvement and you are not afraid of asking questions. We believe you are structured, have a good logical and analytical ability and a good perception of requirements.
